PHOTOS – Aqua Girl 08 – Aqualicious Pool Party

Aqua Girl 08 – Aqualicious Pool Party at the Surfcomber Resort.
Aqua Girl pool party

I think this is the best party I have seen yet in Miami. Could have used a few guys, but whatever. heh heh

Seriously though, the pool at the Surfcomber was PACKED. I would guess there was easily three times as many people there for Aqua Girl than there was for WMC. I was in awe. Amazing turnout. I wish I was a lesbian because there were some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Wow.

My one and only gripe: no shade. Anywhere. For WMC there were lots of places to get out of the sun and cool off a bit. For Aqua Girl the weather was much hotter but there wasn’t any place to escape. I didn’t last barely 30 minutes before I had to call it a day because I was so over heated. And you know you don’t fuck around with our sun when your body says it’s time for a break.

Keep in mind i am the one who likes being hot. I am the one who doesn’t use A.C. in her apartment because even the lowest setting is too cold for me. And I couldn’t take the heat. If there was shaded areas I could have kept working but there was nothing.

I am so disappointed because this was such an awesome fucking party. I could have spend hours working it and still not covered half of the people there.

Boo hiss! 😦

My only consolation is that there were hella lotta other photographers there so hopefully everyone got as many pictures as they like.

When the link is ready at Napkin Nights I will update this post. Then you will be able to view the pics bigga.
Until then, enjoy the little view…

PHOTOS – Aqua Girl 08 Havana Nights at Nikki Beach

Aqua Girl 08:

Havana Nights at Nikki Beach and Club Nikki with DJ Dezrock and Miss M showcased all the finest Miami has to offer: gorgeous women, hot, steamy temperatures and sexy salsa rhythms to get the hips moving.

The Aqua Girls took over the Penrod complex with parties both downstairs in Nikki Beach and upstairs in Club Nikki. My new favorite DJ played a mix of the best in salsa and merengue blended with a little house music.

PHOTOS – Aqua Girl 08: Traffic Jam at Score

Traffic Jam with DJ Brynn Taylor at Score on Lincoln Rd kicked off the first night of parties for Aqua Girl 08. The ladies wore colored glow necklaces to signal their availability. Green for “Go for it”, Yellow for “Proceed with caution” and Red means “Stop”. Go-go dancers and drag queens Spikey Dykey, Rico Suave and Teddy D performed throughout the night.

Caution!

PHOTOS – 944 Magazine’s First Anniversary Party

TAI Entertainment, publishers of 944 Magazine Miami, held their First Anniversary Party at the Gansevoort South in Miami Beach on May 9th.

I love 944 Magazine. They always throw good parties and they have discovered the secret to making Miamians go out early. I believe the doors opened at 9pm. I got there at 10pm and the rooftop was already at capacity. They wouldn’t let anyone in, including press, until someone left.

Host Macy Gray. I heart u Macy.:-)

These two lovely ladies wanted me to put them on the cover of a magazine. They did such a good job posing for me that I didn’t have the heart to tell them that I don’t have a magazine. Maybe I should start one.

Pretty girls, for those of you who are into that sort of thing…

Miss Peru (right) and her cousin. Two very nice ladies.

We’ll probably be seeing much more of these two in the coming months. They are a new girl group and are busy in the studio right now. I wish I could read my writing so I could tell you what their band name is. Tuslila? Tuslika? I’ll figure it out eventually.

Nice guy. His handler, or whatever, said his name is HR Pufnstuf (sp?) but wouldn’t stick around long enough to spell it for me. When I Googled that name all I get is a tv show for kids. Anyone know his real name or spelling?

Edit to add: His name is Ken Baynes. Thank you CJ from the comments! 🙂

This young lady was so nice and turned to pose for me when she saw my camera, but then when she didn’t see a flash go off she must have thought I wasn’t shooting so she turned away and faced the other photographers. She had no idea I was shooting without flash so I could show all those pretty colors moving across her body.
Do click to see the large size image. It’s quite cool, if I may say so myself.

Atmoshphere – very cool lighting show on the pool. A lot of people probably missed it since everyone stayed away from the pool. Well everyone except that one guy…there’s always that one guy…
This one is cool too, click it!

Fireworks. It wouldn’t be a party in Miami Beach without fireworks.
One more you need to see large size.

Aqua Girl 2008

I will be shooting at the Aqua Girl parties this weekend. Pics will be available at the usual places; Napkin Nights Miami, TalkNightlife (in the forum area), and the left-overs in the gallery here at SobeStreets.

On the agenda for tonight:
Curve Magazine | Welcome to Paradise 6:00pm – 9:30pm
Surfcomber Resort
1717 Collins Ave

Traffic Jam 10:00pm-3:00am
Score
727 Lincoln Rd

If you are interested in attending Aqua Girl stop by the Surfcomber Hotel and check in with the welcome center by the pool. It looks like the VIP events are sold out, but some of the other parties still have tickets available.

And now for an interesting coincidence, news just came in from California that their Supreme Court has just ruled that banning same sex marriages is unconstitutional.

I have a feeling the ladies of Aqua Girl will be celebrating even more tonight.

Updates on SobeStreets

Please check in on the main site, SobeStreets.

There are lots of new performance photos from Bigg Rodd’s birthday party at Dream Nightclub.

Addition photos from that night will be posted in the coming days.

Keep in mind that tomorrow kicks off Aqua Girl 08. The annual 5-day party for women who love women. Gawkers will enjoy the bazillion hot lesbians roaming around South Beach.

Try not to look stunned, people. We try to be cutting edge ’round here.

Even if you’re not into lesbians, Aqua Girl is something we can all appreciate. All the net proceeds from Aqua Girl weekend benefit the Aqua Foundation for Women. AFW is a not-for-profit-foundation whose primary mission is to promote the equality, strength, health, and visibility of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender women.

What benefits one woman benefits us all, so get out there and support, dammit! 🙂

Bigg Rodd’s Birthday Party at Dream

I’m heading out the door right now to do Cosplay at Sushi Samba.

Tomorrow night I will be at Dream for Bigg Rodd’s birthday bash.

And maybe I can stop in for a quickie at Blue to say congrats to Jazzy Eyewear at his CD release party…
